342 seconds | 1280 x 720 | The Hunger Project Australia | 06/03/2023
Jamuna Devi from Odisha has led her village through the devastating impacts of COVID-19.

As President-elect of the Gajapati village council (Odisha), Jamuna's presence in the public office is a matter of huge pride and comfort for other women in the community.

Thanks to her mindful pursuit of equitable development every village now has access to clean drinking water. Here's a glimpse into her expansive leadership, especially her efforts to raise critical awareness about COVID, which helped contain the spread and saving lives.

The Hunger Project works with women like Jamuna Devi so they're empowered to end hunger in their own rural communities. This is just one story of one person ending hunger - imagine the stories of the other 550,000 that we partner with across India, Africa and Bangladesh.
